This gabled enclosed attachment Floresville, Texas project was a customer request for a partially enclosed attachment between two existing storage containers. Before beginning this job, we poured a 4 inch concrete slab, to build the attachment over. The slab measures 20’x32′ wide.
Project details
This is like nothing that had ever been requested before. No posts attached to the ground. Everything is attached to the storage containers. The building measures 20’x32′ wide with a 3/12 pitch framed with 6”x2” purlin enclosed on one side. Each wing is attached 8’x20’ roof on pre existing storage containers.

Storage containers are handy, but the gap between two of them is usually wasted space. A roof that joins them turns that gap into a covered work area, a place to park equipment, or a sheltered spot to keep things dry. A gabled roof has two sloping sides that meet at a ridge, which sheds rain and keeps the covered area open and airy, and the enclosed side adds privacy and wind protection.
Here the roof frame ties into the containers themselves instead of standing on posts set in the ground, so the new concrete slab and the containers do the supporting.
