Gabled Carport and Lean To Awning Wimberly, Texas This was a two part project that was finished, as you can see, in the pouring rain! The first part of this project was a 32'x22' gabled carport. Attached to the carport is a 10'x10' lean to with 2 enclosed walls. The posts of this structure were buried in 14' inch diameter concrete posts 24 inches deep into rock. The structure was not painted at this time.
The second part of the Wimberly Project was a simple lean to awning attached to an existing shed. The awning measures 12'x12'. With the posts, we drilled 18" diagonally into the rock ground at four points with rebar crossing at the point of the posts which are then welded. The rebar is crossed to ensure that it will not come out. An 8 inch sono tube was dropped over the posts to form 2 foot piers.
